The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (Borough) Land & Resource Management Division has received a request from the Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) for a public utility easement on three Borough-owned properties for the McRae to O’Neill Transmission Line Project. The project will provide electric service to growing areas between Wasilla and Palmer communities. The three Borough-owned properties affected are Parcel #2 Notice of Forty-Acre Exemption 2021-109-EXM, (1212 N. Barbi Drive / 217N02W02C004), and Tract A-1 & A-2 MSB Seldon Subdivision (3262 & 3434 N. Church Road / 58264000T00A-1 & A-2). The proposed utility easement on Parcel #2 is located along the northern boundary of the parcel. The proposed utility easement on Tract A-1 & A-2 is located along the eastern boundary of the parcel.
