Talkeetna Revetment Emergency Repair Complete

As of October 9, 2023, the Mat-Su Borough contractor’s work to repair the Talkeetna revetment is now complete. MSB Public Works placed topsoil and dormant seed to provide finalize stabilization to complete the project.  In general, Western hauled/placed ~5,200 tons of riprap and 1,125 tons of gravel fill.

The Borough signed a local disaster declaration on September 12, 2023 for flood impacts to the Talkeetna community. The Borough will be seeking reimbursement for these emergency repairs and additional resources from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a longer-term solution.
