Settlers Bay Coastal Park Grand Opening

On Monday, September 16 at 12pm, the Mat-Su Borough and Great Land Trust will be co-hosting a Ribbon Cutting celebrating the initial opening of the 295-acre Settlers Bay Coastal Park. Great Land Trust, who recognized the immense value of the property, worked with developers in acquiring the land. They didn't wait long before handing it over to the Mat-Su Borough for the Park's development. There are over 1,000 homes within one mile of this public park and the first in the Knik-Fairview community that will support year-round recreation. In this video, Borough Trails Specialist, Alan McClain describes some of the great features of the Park, what's been done and what's yet to come.
