Lower fees aim to increase pet adoptions at busy shelter

MAT-SU The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care Shelter is rapidly filling to capacity. As an adoption incentive, we are offering a reduction in prices for the adoption of dogs and cats.

We are waiving a portion of the adoption fees, $20.00 for dogs and $15.00 for cats. The reduced adoption fee includes a microchip, shots, health check, registration fees (MSB) and required spaying or neutering of the animal. The adoption fee for a dog will be $99.50, and for a cat, $89.50.

This offer is time sensitive. It will expire on March 15, 2008.

Our Shelter hours are currently 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 4:30 on weekends. Beginning March 16, the shelter will be open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., closed on Sundays.
