Open houses for two proposed fire stations in

MAT-SU—The Central MAT-SU Fire Department will conduct two open houses to introduce two proposed fire stations. The general public will have the opportunity to see draft plans for the two fire stations, to ask questions, make formal comments, suggest modifications, and meet with the Central MAT-SU Fire Department in its effort to fully inform local residents of these two proposed projects.

The stations are proposed at two sites: on Fairview Loop and Danielle Street across from Snowshoe Elementary; and west of mile 11.8 on Knik-Goose Bay Road at Horizon Road.

The Open Houses are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, May 6, 2009—6:30 pm—Knik Elementary School

Thursday, May 13, 2009— 6:30 pm—Snowshoe Elementary School
