Mayfield Sworn In

Assembly Member Dan Mayfield took the oath of office tonight for District 5, an area including Big Lake and the Knik-Goose Bay community. Mayfield's swearing in took place after a recount by the Canvass Board, requested by candidate Clayton Tew.

 After the recount the vote tally changed by 1 with Mayfield leading Tew by 17 votes instead of 18 votes. 

The Assembly certifed the District 5 election tonight.
