Macknicki to lead Borough IT

MAT-SU — Larry Macknicki was named as the Information Technology Director in September. Macknicki is a current Borough employee who has a diverse background with more than 15 years of IT related experience in both the public and private sector.  Throughout his career, he has excelled at project management, systems integration and deployment, relationship and vendor management, leadership and team development.

Prior to working for the Borough, Macknicki worked at MTA and previous to that he gained more than five years of senior management experience as the MIS Applications Manager at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union.  Larry’s professional certifications include Microsoft Certified IT Professional and Sequel Server Database Developer.  Additionally, he completed three years toward his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Macknicki grew up here in Palmer.
