PALMER— Following the federally-declared flood disaster, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough supplied water test kits for homeowners whose wells were affected by flood waters. The Borough also paid for water testing for affected homeowners at the MAT-SU Test Labs of Alaska.
The Borough is now closing out this free water testing program. It ends tomorrow, Friday, at 5 p.m., Nov. 17. So far, 82 tests were paid for by the Borough at a cost of $20 each. The tests were to determine if residents' drinking water was safe for consumption.
