Debate begins on 2008 Borough budget

PALMER— Matanuska-Susitna Borough Manager John Duffy presented the proposed fiscal year 2008 budget to Assembly Members Tuesday night. Duffy's presentation is available with this notice on the Borough Web site at www.matsugov.us

Public hearings are scheduled for the budget on May 3 and May 8. Those meetings will be held at the Central MAT-SU Public Safety Building in Wasilla at 6 pm. The station is at Lucille Street and Swanson Avenue, 101 W. Swanson Avenue.

A special meeting for adoption of the budget is scheduled in Assembly chambers on May 17.
