Cedar Hills Subdivision fire 3:14 pm

CEDAR HILLS FIRE 3:14pm, Nov. 29
MAT-SU—A fire is burning in the Cedar Hills Subdivision north of Palmer on the Glenn Highway. Initial reports have three to four structures on fire. Residents of the Subdivision have been asked to evacuate. Some 15 homes are there. A shelter is set up at the Palmer Senior Center.
Palmer Fishhook Road at the Glenn Highway is closed.
Responders from several departments are on scene. Anchorage fire may be assisting. Winds are estimated at up to 50 mph gusts or more. No injuries have been reported. More updates will follow.
