PALMER— Two horses will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Sept. 20, by the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care & Regulation Office.
One of the horses was surrendered to the Borough by the owner due to an animal cruelty investigation. Named Pretty, the female horse is about 25-years-old and brownish black. The other seven-year-old horse is being surrendered due to its spirited nature. Nacho is a brown and gold gelding.
Pretty has been in Borough custody since May 1. Nacho will be in Borough custody soon.
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care & Regulation Office will be auctioning off these horses, animal ID #A021101 "Pretty" and animal ID #A022588 "Nacho," on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 5:30 p.m. The auction will be held in the parking lot in front of the Animal Shelter located at 1200 North 49th State Street.
