Almost past S, Board Continues Canvassing

By 5 pm Monday, the Canvass Board had nearly finished checking the eligibility of voter names on absentee ballots that start with an S. The group of five election officials will ultimately canvass through more than 2,000 ballots to see which ones are eligible to be counted for the recent Matanuska-Susitna Borough election. The Canvass Board begins verifying questioned ballots next. There are 604 questioned ballots.

The counting of the absentee ballots is expected to begin by Friday.
