Fifty years ago come March 27, the second largest earthquake in recorded history shook Southcentral Alaska. Local governments, & state and national agencies will be engaged in an earthquake response exercise to see how we respond to a large quake today.
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough and three local cities, Palmer, Wasilla, Houston, are participating. A lot of activity will be occurring in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough from March 27 through Saturday March 29. Please remember that it's a drill.
