A ribbon cutting with Alaska's First Lady helped celebrate this week the 33,000 square feet added to the Mat-Su Career & Technical High School. The extra space adds three new career pathways to the school: transportation, HR, and natural resources. Among the classroom features, a 5-ton bridge crane is in the transportation lab.
We thank Mat-Su voters for supporting the $214 million school bond package. The State pays 70 percent of this $16 million project.
Alaska's First Lady, Donna Walker, was all cheers in the actual ribbon cutting. Take a look at the video.
