The Local Road Service Area Advisory Board  advises the assembly and administration on local road policy within the borough.

It makes recommendations on borough policy and actions with respect to standards and priorities for maintenance for different types of local service roads and programs for reconstructing and upgrading local service roads. It also make recommendations regarding the  development of sources of revenues including, but not limited to, assessments levied through road local improvement districts and property taxes and which roads should be used as the basis for state aid for road maintenance; and administration of road service area operations.
